shrivatsa, 'kari', amruta patil 2006
in the khajan singh swimming pool, lap # 19, 8:50 pm, i am acutely aware of how lucky i am. not just for shaabut limb and finance and samsaric such (though that too) - but because i have always been supplied with shepherds and guardian angels. deserving or not - i have always been looked out for. with timely verse or word or upheaval or encounter. my life is a charmed one. and if it isn't spent with incredible wisdom and insight, what a waste of everyone's vigilance. 28 going on 29 is the perfect time to wake.

yup. can't deny. ab hun ki karaan.
What were you like at 19?
Well-intentioned but deeply uncomfortable in my skin, in my location. It was a different person inhabiting this body. A person that was a lot like what Kari is in the book.
Thank you, that's very heartening to know. :)
I've just finished reading The Unstrung Harp. If I ever do get around to writing the way I would like to, Gorey and you shall be among those "tenacious scatterers of good seed" that I should feel most gratitude for.
Insha allah, you will write what you must when you are ready. And may we all benefit from it when you do.
