Day to unclog the miserly mouth. Day to thank the ones that have skillfully, irrevocably illuminated mind and heart. If one needs a specially ear-marked day for such a thing. I give thanks to the kalyanmitras. To the teachers, dead and living, I bow.

La reine est arrivée...
Le soleil, c'est le roi, mais la lune est la reine!
The sun is the powerful ruler during the day. But, it can light only one half of the globe and, therefore, the importance of Moon, although illuminated by sun itself, but is like a yogi as it reflects all the light back to the planets that do not have light of their own. And its effect on waters in the seas is well known and human form also as it has 78% water, also 'lune' happens to be the root of the word lunatic!)... and its effect together with sun is particularly seen reflected in the tides during new moon or full moon days...And thus it is not surprising that ancient Hindus, where Indu in Sanskrit means Moon, adopted lunar cycle for determining time, to understand the vagaries of Nature!
Suparna, ie, Vishnu's vehicle could be visualised to convey, as the most evolved among birds that rule the 'sky', Garud, our galaxy as the model of our infinite void, or universe that continues to grow, ie, expand indefinitely since time immemorial...
